The committee is empowered to look after the matters of sexual harassment and to take preventive measures to protect women from any form of indecency, indignity and disrespect at work place, and complaints includes such unwelcome sexually determined behaviour [whether directly or by implication].
The committee must make an annual report and submit to the institution head regarding the complaints received and action taken by the committee.
